World Horse Welfare debates acceptable training methods for competition horses


  • During the recent World Horse Welfare Conference a panel of equestrian experts, including H&H Editor Lucy Higginson, shared their thoughts on what are acceptable methods of training for competition horses and what oversteps the line to consistute abuse.

    Chaired by Simon Brooks-Ward, the panel also included Baroness Ann Mallalieu (Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group of the Horse), Will Connell (World Class Performance Director at the BEF) and Paul Bittar (Chief Executive of the British Horseracing Authority).
