Want to watch The Derby at Epsom in person? Here’s how you can…

  • Epsom Derby tickets are available for the 2023 Betfred Derby Festival at Epsom Racecourse (2-3 June), which will ensure you can watch the Classic action in person.

    As we went to press, the current tickets were still available for both Oaks day on Friday 2 June and Derby day on Saturday 3 June, but it is likely they will sell out over the coming days, so if you want to be there you need to act fast – here’s what you need to know, including what’s included and how much it will cost (you can even attend and watch for free)…

    Friday 2 June Epsom Derby tickets

    Grandstand enclosure (from £55 per person):

    With a relaxed atmosphere, see the horses in the parade ring then view the racing from the bookmakers ring and extensive steppings – ideal to take in all the action.

    Queen Elizabeth II stand (from £140 per person):

    One of the most impressive stands in British racing, the Queen Elizabeth II stand delivers an unrivalled racing and entertainment experience. View the horses in the parade ring, watch the races with direct views over the finishing straight, and feel part of the celebrations in the winners’ enclosure. There is a strict dress code.

    Derby family festival (from £25 per person):

    The Derby family festival is a ticketed enclosure on The Hill. It will be in a new location for 2023, closer to the action on the racetrack. There will be plenty of family fun with the return of the main stage and a new food festival. Selected rides will be free within this enclosure.

    Upper Tattenham (from £30 per person):

    Cheer on your horse as it turns the pivotal Tattenham Corner into the straight, galloping towards the winning post from this spectacular trackside view. Please be aware there is no access to the parade ring, winner’s enclosure and no access to the style awards for Ladies’ Day.

    Lonsdale enclosure (from £45 per person):

    The Lonsdale stretches along the opposite side of the track from the stands. Pick your spot along the finishing straight up to the winning post. Bookmakers, food and drinks concessions are in this area. You can bring a picnic. There is no parade ring or winners’ enclosure access.

    Grandstand reserved seating (from £140 per person):

    The seat is yours for the day to come and go as you please; visit the parade ring, bookmakers and extensive array of bars and food outlets. Seats are located towards the top of the Duchess’s Stand providing fantastic views at the heart of the action.

    Epsom Derby hospitality packages on Friday 2 June

    On Oaks day (Friday 2 June) the hospitality packages are as follows:

    There are a number of hospitality tickets available from Picnic packages starting at £280 per person up to £799 per person for tickets into Chez Roux @ Blue Riband, which offers a five-course meal designed by the Roux family.

    Saturday 3 June Epsom Derby tickets

    On Derby day (Saturday 3 June) there are a number of hospitality tickets available from Picnic packages starting at £300 per person up to £939 per person for tickets into the Down View suite with luxury entertaining.

    The Derby Festival is one of the world’s only sporting events where you can watch the action for free, thanks to The Hill. Here, everyone can join in and experience a carnival atmosphere with food and drink, big screens, a market and a funfair. Track-side viewing, the Tote, bookmakers and racecards are all easily accessible too.
