Welcome to our independent group test of ear bonnets for horses. All of the ear bonnets in this group test have been put through their paces by former eventer turned para dressage rider Tamsin Addison. Find out what she thought below

    Official description

The Veredus fly fringe is hand-crocheted and made from washable and breathable cotton featuring the Veredus logo on the front. The ears are made from a stretch fabric that gives great comfort and flexibility. Available in a range of colours, with the Veredus logo in various colour options, too.

    First impressions

It looked smart and had a good ratio of ears size in relation to depth of head piece.

    Overview of performance

This bonnet sat well and didn’t move while worn. It is quite a snug fit but was also flexible, I found the ears pieces are thinner than some of the others tested.

    Tamsin’s likes and dislikes

I liked that it fitted well on the right horse and looked smart, but might not fit the larger-eared horses.

    Verdict

I would recommend this to a friend if their horse didn’t have particularly large ears.
