    Official description

The WeatherBeeta Breeze with surcingle III is made of breathable and cool 270g polyester, with 210 denier polyester-lined shoulders. It features mesh panels for ultimate airflow, a wither relief pad, mane and tail flap to prevent rubbing, side gusset for freedom of movement, a full-wrap tail flap and a single chest strap. It has an adjustable hidden surcingle, plus an elasticated and removable leg strap.

    First impressions

This rug had a neck and was different in design to the others — it seemed somewhere between a fly rug and a summer sheet.

    Overview of performance

I found it tricky to find a purpose for this rug. The non-detachable neck meant that it wasn’t suitable for a smart show rug, and it didn’t really work as a stable rug as the neck made it quite warm. I found I used it more in the field, but it wasn’t waterproof so I didn’t want to use it if it looked like it was going to rain and it wasn’t as effective against the flies as a fly rug would be.

    Georgi’s likes and dislikes

It is well made but is not a summer sheet, it’s more of an Aussie blanket. The sizing is also very generous.

    Verdict

I personally have not used this as much as the others as it is not an essential piece of kit, but it would be good for someone who likes to have an extensive horse wardrobe.
